Webflow

Getting a finished build into your Webflow site.

How the export works

Webflow export is copy and paste through the UpBuilder Designer Extension, not an automatic push.

There are manual steps after the paste. Budget a few minutes for them.

You can also choose Export Manually, which skips the extension. You then upload images yourself and get no Webflow Variables.

Before you export

A Webflow site
One you can edit, with access to the Designer.
The extension
UpBuilder installed and opened on that site.
Fonts
Add them in Site Settings first, otherwise text falls back to Arial.
An unlock
A one-time project unlock, or a Max subscription.

Copying and pasting

    Open the export panel

    Press Export in the build header, then choose Export via Webflow App.

    Connect your Webflow account

    Then pick the destination site. If a site is missing, authorize it in Webflow first.

    Install the UpBuilder extension

    In the Webflow Designer press E, open Apps, then click Upbuilder.ai.

    Connect the extension

    Copy the token from UpBuilder and paste it into the extension.

    Copy a page

    Each page has its own Copy button in the export panel.

    Paste in Webflow

    Select Body on the canvas, click the canvas, then press Cmd V or Ctrl V.

Use the Copy button

Copying by hand does not carry the Webflow payload. If you copied anything else in between, press Copy again before pasting.

Finishing in Webflow

The export panel lists these as a checklist. Skipping them is the most common cause of a page that looks wrong after pasting.

Manual steps after the paste
Fonts
Add them in Site Settings if you have not already.
Images
Uploaded by the extension, or download the ZIP and upload them yourself.
Scripts
If the page has a carousel or marquee, paste the given blocks into Site Settings, Custom Code. Some go in Head, some in Footer.
Custom CSS
Paste the block the panel gives you, if there is one.
Typography
Apply the listed global tag styles.
Marquee
Bind its animation to an On page load interaction by hand.
Copy the script blocks from the export panel rather than typing them, so the versions match the build.
